Pleasant Valley pulled out a dramatic buzzer-beating victory over Stroudsburg to highlight Tuesday scholastic sports card.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Don' Dre Shivers scored the game-winning basket at the buzzer to lift Pleasant Valley to a 43-41 Mountain Valley Conference win over Stroudsburg.

The Bears' Nick Stanovick led all scorers with 12 points. With the win, PV improved to 8-5 overall and 5-1 in the MVC.

Langston Northern led the Mounties with 11 points.

Pleasant Valley came out on top with a 42-35 win over Stroudsburg in the JV game.

The Spartans led the Blue Bombers by four with less than a minute to go when James Shaheen drained two free throws and Connor Zellner made the final field goal of the night for a 60-52 Southern Lehigh win.

Chris Mobley finished with 14 points making 12 in the second half as the Spartans held off the Blue Bombers. Evan McCrory added 13 and Alex Anderson 12 for Solehi (10-3, 8-1). Tyler Svetik finished with 16 points for Palmerton (1-12, 0-9) as it stayed within striking distance with eight three-pointers. He was backed up by Kyle Ruch with 12 points and Brett Snyder with 10.

Southern Lehigh also won the JV game 61-27.

Pine Grove overcame a first-quarter deficit and slowly pulled away from Panther Valley for a 52-37 Schuylkill League victory.

The Panthers (6-8; 1-5) were led by Nick McArdle, who finished with 12 points.

For Pine Grove, Larry Zimmerman and Jake Wolfe led the way with 21 and 19 points respectively.

Panther Valley won the JV game, 41-37, behind 17 points from Kyle Ferryman.

In the JV game, Williams Valley edged Marian, 41-34. The Colts' Logan Mehalshick finished with seven points.
