A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 12:48 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, along SR924, a half-mile south of Brandonville, in Union Township.

State police at Frackville said Jason Layton, 33, of Brandonville, was driving a 2001 Dodge truck when he crashed.

He was found to be under the influence and submitted to a breath test at the barracks. The test showed his blood/alcohol content above the legal limit of .08 percent, troopers said.
