State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 7:43 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in a parking lot along Pinedale Road, in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Enrique Garcia, 47, of Vineland, N.J., was operating a 2000 Freightliner tractor in the lot of the Blue Rhino, and attempting to back up in order to attach to a trailer full of empty propane tanks. As Garcia maneuvered the truck closer to the trailer it became tangled in power lines which were hanging from a building.

As Garcia tried to get free of the lines, the wires came loose from a power box and the pole they were attached to snapped and fell into the lot. No one was injured in the incident and no damages to the truck.

A two vehicle accident occurred about 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, along SR209 (Bunting St.), in Branch Township. Troopers said Philip G. Miller, 25, of Branchdale, driving a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon, was following behind a 2004 Ford Escape, driven by Dorothy M. Frieling, 58, of Hegins, while eastbound.

Frieling stopped to merge onto SR901 when her vehicle was struck in the rear by the Tiburon.

No one was injured. Troopers cited Miller to following too closely.
