The Community Fire Company of New Ringgold was called to a wilderness rescue Friday morning to aid an elderly man who suffering a leg injury along the Cold Run Creek, about a half mile north of the village of Hecla in East Brunswick Township. The man was packaged and carried across the creek to an awaiting New Ringgold ambulance. The Tamaqua area fire company and rescue squad assisted.
