In anticipation of Rush Township's 200th birthday celebration this year, a bicentennial committee was formed at a meeting held on Feb. 9.

In attendance to discuss bicentennial events were ten residents, Chairman Steve Simchak, Supervisor Robert Leibensperger, Secretary Terri Conville, and Administrative Assistant Marie Skripnek.The committee is calling on more residents and businesses to become involved in the township celebration. The next meeting will be held Thursday, March 10 at 6 p.m. at the Municipal Building.Following that second meeting, remaining meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month.
