The Palmerton Area Library Art Show and Lunch, held on Sunday, Jan. 24 at the library, featured the work of several area artists.

Determined to be Best of Show was "Winter Morning Sleigh Ride" by Paul Swedar. Capturing first place was "Hickory Run Falls" by Douglas Wilkins, who also took second place with "Winter Night in Palmerton."Third place went to "Memorial Park Skating Pond" by Jessica Gasper.More than 100 people attended the show and enjoyed a luncheon prepared by the Friends of the Library.Over 80 paintings are still on display in the upstairs gallery of the library for viewing until the end of the week. The library is located at 402 Delaware Ave., in Palmerton.
