Announcement has been made of the engagement of Samantha Beers and Dustin Kranch.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bill and Dorrine Welsh of Coaldale and Jeff and Lisa Beers of Lehighton. She is a 2003 graduate of Panther Valley High School and a 2007 graduate of Penn State University.The granddaughter of Marie Terry and the late Joseph Terry, she is employed by Schuylkill County.Mr. Kranch is the son of Scott and Marie Griffiths of Coaldale.A 2002 graduate of Panther Valley High School, he graduated from Kutztown University in 2006. He is employed by Packer Ridge Academy, Lehighton.The couple is planning a September 2010 wedding.
