16th Annual Lehigh Carbon Community College Foundation Scholarship Clay Shoot in partnership with Netizen CyberSecure Solutions, open to the public. All proceeds from this event will go towards general scholarships and military veterans, active duty service members and their families. Event registration is $175 per individual participant and includes 100 rounds of clay shooting, shells for the event, continental breakfast, awards, raffle and a buffet lunch, catered by Mission BBQ. Participants each receive a commemorative souvenir. Sunday, May 5, 8th Annual Family Fun Fishing Event, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., sponsored by Friends of Schuylkill Parks and Recreation, and coordinated by the Schuylkill County Sportsmen’s Advisory Board (SAB) to the Schuylkill County Commissioners and the Sweet Arrow Lake Park Board, with assistance from the Schuylkill Conservation District. This year more than 100 “lunker” trout will be stocked, and a total of $8,000 worth of trout will be stocked for the event. The first 200 kids age 3 thru 12 to register will receive a gift. The registration fee prior to April 15 to enter is $15 an individual or $30 per household, which will include one $5 individual and one $10 family food voucher. After April 15 and the day of the event the fee will increase $10 and $15 respectively. No registrations will be taken after May 5.
