A summer program in the Northern Lehigh School District is about to get re-energized.
Director Gale Husack announced at last week’s school board meeting that the district received a $20,000 grant for its Summer STEAM Camp.
Husack congratulated the Northern Lehigh Education Foundation on the grant it received from The Neffs National Bank.
“So wanted to just give a shout out and say thanks to Neff’s National Bank for continuing to support the community, as well as Mr. (Tim) Weaber and Ms. (Christine) Stafford, who are members of the Education Foundation who accepted that award,” Husack said. “So thank you to supporting us and continuing through the community, and kind of getting us back on track and doing what we all do best; so just wanted to give a shout out there to our teachers and the Foundation and Neff’s National Bank.”
Superintendent Matthew J. Link noted that the NL Education Foundation, in conjunction with Neffs National Bank, is donating $20,000 to the Summer Steam Camp.
“Again a very remarkable donation,” Link said. “So again, thank you to Neffs National Bank, and to our Education Foundation, for supporting the Summer Steam Camp.”
