Route 309 in West Penn township was closed Saturday afternoon due to a motor vehicle crash. The accident occurred just after noon about a half mile north of Route 895 involving a pickup truck on its roof. West Penn fire company station no. 1 responded shutting down the roadway. It is believed the driver escaped without injury. West Penn township police are investigating the incident.
