A Carbon County man entered guilty pleas in four pending criminal cases on Friday in the county court and was sentenced to a county prison term.
Judge Joseph J. Matika sentenced Jeffrey James Tee, 28, of Nesquehoning, to serve a total of 6 to 18 months in prison followed by one year probation.Tee entered guilty pleas to one count each of simple assault, harassment and receiving stolen property and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arrested on the assault count on Jan. 30, 2016, at a North Market Street residence by Summit Hill police for assaulting his then-girlfriend. He also admitted to assaulting officer Jeffrey Ohl after being taken into custody.The receiving count stems from an incident on Oct. 9, 2016, in Nesquehoning when he took jewelry and other items from a female resident. The first drug count occurred on Aug. 8, 2016, in the 100 block of Diaz Avenue filed by Nesquehoning police; the second drug count occurred on Nov. 21, 2016, filed by Lansford police for an incident at the police station where he was taken on a warrant and paraphernalia found on him.Matika also ordered Tee to render a total of 100 hours of community service, get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole or probation. On the harassment count, he was fined $100 and costs.He was given credit for 205 days spent in prison on the charge and paroled.
