Tamaqua police charged Jennifer DiPietro, 43, with disorderly conduct after they said she was being unruly throughout the morning and early afternoon of July 21.

Police said they were contacted about a woman screaming in the area of Hegarty Avenue and Nescopeck streets and subsequently found DiPietro. She told police that she was trying to find her children and needed a ride to Lansford.

Police transported her to Lansford, but at 11:20 a.m., officers received a complaint of a woman rolling around on the sidewalk in Tamaqua.

Police said that DiPietro was on the ground in front of the borough building.

DiPietro, who has no permanent address, spoke with the department’s mental health advocate and agreed to go to a friend’s house.

At 1:50 p.m., police were dispatched to an apartment building on the 200 block of Center Street for an out of control woman and found DiPietro.

Police took her into custody and she continued to yell while at the department.

She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and sent to the Schuylkill County Prison on nominal bail.
