Walnutport buffer planting

Bertsch-Hokendauqua-Catasauqua Watershed will host The Walnutport Educational Buffer Planting at 9 a.m. Sunday. They will meet at the boat launch, 120 Lehigh St., Walnutport by the canal. Please bring gloves and shovels for planting of native trees, bushes and flowers.

Basket social

United Presbyterian Church of Slatington will host the 28th Annual Basket Social from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, 6750 Route 873, Slatington. The event will benefit the Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority and the Slatington Public Library.
