Lehighton School Board Financial Report

Lehighton Area School Board approved the following financial matters on Monday:

• Bid award to The Nutrition Group for District Food Services from July 1 through June 30, 2025, with an option to renew by mutual agreement for up to four additional one-year periods.

• CSIU FIS Accounting and SCView Package for the 2024-2025 school year to include fund accounting, human resources, payroll, document management/electronic forms builder, purchasing/accounts payable, mileage reimbursement, SC Scan Station License and Staff Onboarding for a conservative estimate of $45,202. This is the financial system utilized by the district.

• Donations from Giant Food Stores in the amount of $6,822, to be utilized for the Backpack Buddies Program, as well as Association for Rural & Small Libraries in the amount of $500 for the purchase of books for the high school library. Board President Jeremy Glaush thanked both organizations for their donations.

• Proposal from Valley Royale regarding tennis court assistance for the term of five years in the prepaid amount of $17,500, due by Sept. 1.

• The all-access membership package option for the PSBA Membership renewal of the 2024-2025 school year in the amount of $14,954, and the administrative regulations package in the amount of $905, for a total of $15,860.

• Purchase of five 2-camera HD Drive recorder kits and installation with Pro-Vision in the amount of $7,420.

• Purchase of SchoolMessenger Communicate and basic deployment through PowerSchool Group LLC, in the amount of $6,638. This is to replace the Swift Reach K-12 Alert system that is currently being used by the district for alert notifications.

• JMSI proposal for $4,680 to complete a physical inventory of all chemical products throughout the district, establish SDS files for each area inventoried, complete proper paperwork and provide PA Dept. of L & I training for employees handling chemicals.

• Prorated agreement with Chester County Intermediate Unit for Rubrik Data backup service for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year in the amount of $1,667 for 10TB of data storage, as well as a three-year agreement from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027 at a cost of $10,000 for 10TB of date storage for the district.

• The Shop Machinery Maintenance Contract for the metal and wood shop equipment for the 2024-2025 school year in the amount of $2,840.

• Application for a 60-month lease term for five 1080p HD Drive Recorder kits and installation with Balboa Capital/Pro-Vision in the amount of $157 per month.

• The Technology in Education Legal Counsel Consortium Agreement for the 2024-2025 school year with the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21.

• LEAD, e-Sports, and Aevidum as district student activity groups and have student activity fund accounts created for fundraising purposes.
