Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for April 1-5.

Monday: Stuffed Pepper, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots, Yogurt or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

Tuesday: BBQ Riblet, Baked Beans, Mixed Vegetables, Clementine or Beef and Cheese Sandwich

Wednesday: Chicken Fritters, Red Potatoes, Wax Beans, Applesauce or Italian Salad

Thursday: Spaghetti and Meatballs, Salad, Broccoli, Pudding or Chef Salad

Friday: Onion Soup, Breaded Fish, Macaroni and Cheese, Broccoli and Cauliflower, Cookie or BBQ Chicken Sandwich

The senior center also announced the following events.

Po-Keeno on March 28 at 11 a.m.; Closed on March 29.

Easter Party on April 1 at 10:30 a.m.; Bingo on April 2 at 10:45 a.m.; Balloon Tennis on April 3 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on April 4 at 11 a.m.; Senior Game Practice on April 5 at 10 a.m.

Scattergories on April 8 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on April 9 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-kenno on April 10 at 11 a.m.; Win, Lose or Draw on April 11 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on April 12 at 10 a.m. followed by Senior Game Practice.

Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus Panther Valley Council is hosting a Pitch, Hit and Run Competition for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 at the Lansford Little League Complex on April 27.

The event is sponsored by Major League Baseball.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the competition begins at 9 a.m. Officials need the child’s proof of age to register.

The event is free but food and refreshments will be available on site.

Golden Agers

The Panther Valley Golden Agers met recently with 13 members present.

The president opened the meeting with the invocation, “Springtime is More Beautiful.”

Mary Ann Infante was added to the sick list.

A basket raffle will be held April 8.

The group is accepting new members. Meetings are at 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month at St. Ann’s Apartments, 30 E. Bertsch St., Lansford. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

The group wishes everyone a happy Easter.
