Walnutport Borough Council on a 6-0 vote recently took the following action:

• Approved the 2024 street project in the amount of $24,000 for Third Street, Chestnut St. and Kiddie Lane.

• Agreed to repair the storm sewer at Second Avenue and Washington Street at a cost of $5,000.

• Granted preliminary approval, along with waivers and deferrals 6-9 from the Spotts, Stevens & McCoy letter dated Feb. 12 subject to comment in the letter, for the Casalisa Estate/Adams Street Development, for five duplex units.

• Agreed to advertise to hire a part-time laborer for the streets department.

• Agreed to have borough solicitor Michael Corriere issue a letter to Neff’s National Bank with details needed in reference to letter of credit needed for Mr. Doggy Style, as they are past their dates for development.

• The Walnutport Playground Association’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the ball fields on March 30.

• E-recycling events/shredding is from 4-6 p.m. May 15.

• The Walnutport Canal Association will hold its breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon May 19 at the pavilion.
