Scrap tires for fuel is a good thing:

I have a small recycling business for 70 years. Tires are one of our main items.

1. USEPA recognizes tire as a fuel, EPA prefers energy opposed to landfill.

2. Equipment to safely burn tires is available.

3. Any furnace to burn tires has chimney monitors 24 hours a day. Data is sent to DEP and on site for records. Any malfunction is instantly noticed.

4. No fumes from diesel engines from coal mine. This is a win-win for the environment.

5. To the activists that oppose so many things - Do you have a better way?
