March blood drive

Cornerstone Community Church is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m., March 13. Sign up to give blood at redcross.org/give-blood.

Lasagna dinner

Effort UMC is taking pre-orders for a lasagna dinner which will be take-out only on March 2 from 3 to 6 p.m. They are individual dinners. One can choose cold or hot.

Walking track open

The Western Pocono Community Library’s Walking Track, located on the lower level, is available for walkers: Monday-9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday-noon to 4:30 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday-noon to 7:30 p.m.; Friday-9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturday-9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Spring outing

A trip to the March 4 Philadelphia Flower Show has been announced by Chestnuthill Township’s Aralee Thieling. The bus leaves at 8 a.m. and return at 7 p.m.

Lenten dinner

Our Lady Queen of Peace is hosting Lenten fish dinners from 5 to 7 p.m., March 1 and March 22.

Offered will be two dinners, including a fish & chips dinner and a baked fish dinner. For costs and other details contact the church.

Ross Historical

Thomas McCullough, Assistant Archivist at the Moravian Archives, Bethlehem will present at the Ross Township Historical Society meeting at 11 a.m. March 9. McCullough will present Family History 101, offering methods to trace one’s family genealogy.

This event will be held at the Ross Township Historical Museum located in the township’s annex at 258 Anchorage Road, Saylorsburg.
