Fifth Wine on the River set in Lehighton

The Lehighton Downtown Initiative will host the fifth Annual Wine on the River from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 4 at Baer Memorial Park in Lehighton. The event is open to those age 21-and-over.

Fourteen wineries will be in attendance from all of Eastern Pennsylvania, as well as, food trucks, crafters and vendors.

The event will consist of sampling a variety of wines, shopping, listening to live music and more.

Those who attend are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, drink, eat and listen to the music.

All tickets come with a complimentary wineglass for taste testing, along with their own custom wine check.

Early Bird Tickets are on sale now, and all advance ticket sales will be entered to win a basket of wine, one from each of the 14 wineries.

Tickets are available at http://tinyurl.com/5thAnnualWineontheRiver.

Two stages will host live music all day long, and will include performances by Autumn Falls Entertainment, The Left Edge, Eric Stimmler and Damian Walck.

There will also be plenty of food trucks available for lunch, dinner and in between.

In addition, there will be over 40 crafters and vendors on hand as well.

Bambi Elsasser, Community Operations Director, Lehighton Downtown Initiative, thanked the event’s sponsors: Home Comfort Solutions, Adams Outdoor Advertising, Iron Valley Real Estate NE, Bennett Family Properties, Blue Ridge, Don’s Golf Carts, Moyer Advertising, LE Williams Printing, Styling Zone, and Dream Team Destinations.

“With a huge variety of food trucks and sweets, there will be something for everyone,” Elsasser said. “Shop and visit our vendors in between your tastings.”

Elsasser said proceeds from Wine on the River will help with revitalization projects throughout Lehighton.
