Native plantings

David Altrichter puts in native plants along the Walnutport Canal on Sunday. The Bertsch-Hokendauqua-Catasauqua Watershed planted at four sites along the Walnutport Canal. They re-populated with native trees, bushes and flowers, including redbud, buttonbush, red osier dogwood, holly, pussy willow, bluebells, goldenrod, coneflower, bee balm, wood aster, Jacob’s ladder, sycamore, serviceberry, arrow wood, orchard grass and sycamore trees.
