Woman cited for disorderly conduct

Tamaqua police charged a borough woman who couldn’t keep the noise down on April 15.

Police said they were dispatched to a 9:35 p.m. noise complaint on the 300 block of Market Street and found Rosa Ivette Collazo-Santiago, 43, in the street.

She was playing loud music and yelling obscenities at her neighbors and appeared intoxicated, police said.

Officers warned Collazo-Santiago and her son, Jean Carlos Mendoza-Collazo, 26, about an hour earlier. Because Mendoza-Collazo had been warned before, police cited him.

Police said that after issuing the citation, Collazo-Santiago became irate and began yelling.

Officers warned her about the noise and returned later that evening, citing her disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
