Tamaqua Veterans Day Parade is Nov. 5

The Tamaqua Veterans Day Parade is being planned for 10 a.m. Nov 5.

Staging starts at 9 a.m. by Tamaqua Ins. Center. Before the parade the Honor Guard from the American Legion will fire a volley over the Tamaqua War Memorial. The parade will follow Broad Street, ending on Lehigh Street. After the parade there will be a service at the Legion Post at 206 W. Broad St. Refreshments will be served following the service.

Leading the parade will be the Legion Color and Honor Guard, Grand Marshal David H. Hadesty, a 40-year member of the Legion who honorably served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, and poppy queen Layluh Creitz, a junior ALA member.
