Mr. and Mrs. Alex Frank Nierer, 2570 Grove St., Slatington, observed their 55th anniversary Friday.

They were married on Jan. 7, 1967, in Bethel United Church of Christ in Slatington, by the Rev. Paul Stoudt.

Mrs. Nierer is the former Linda Mae Hallman, daughter of the late Forrest and Louise Hallman of Slatington.

Her husband is a son of the late Edward and Sabina Nierer of Slatington.

The couple has a son, Dru Nierer, and his wife Melissa, of Ave Maria, Florida; two daughters, Adrian and husband David Mohrey of Slatington and Sabrina and Tate Hunsinger of Bloomsburg; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
