Tamaqua plans Veterans Day parade

Tamaqua American Legion Post C.H. Berry 173 will host the Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 6 beginning at 10 a.m.

Grand marshal is Roy Turner, 85 of Barnesville. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

The Poppy Queen is Layluh Creitz, 6. Her mother is Amy Creitz, a five-year member, and grandparents are Lynee and Ron Creitz. She also has a brother Grayson.

Staging will begin at 9 a.m. by the old Maff Motors building on East Broad Street. The Legion Honor Guard will fire a volley over the Tamaqua War Monument.
