July 14, 1977 - Marian officially names three-year assistant coach Stan Dick as its new head football coach, replacing Chuck Rocconi, who stepped down to take the head coaching job at Central Bucks East. Rev. Edward Coleman, the school’s principal, delivers the news during an afternoon announcement. After the hiring, Rocconi says “He will make an excellent coach. Stan’s loyal, dedicated and he’s a real hard worker ... Stan knows our program from A to Z.” The 24-year-old Dick (now Dakosty) had coached the team’s offensive line and linebackers. Dakosty coached the Colts through the 2016 season and then returned to the sidelines last season. His career record at Marian is 311-159-3.
