A live virtual tour of each tree in Lehighton proved to be a smashing success.

Councilwoman Autumn Abelovsky told borough council on Monday that the borough’s fifth annual Lehighton Christmas in the Park proved rather popular.

Abelovsky noted that during the virtual event held this past Sunday, there were over 600 comments, and added that the video had been viewed over 3,000 times.

The Lehighton Borough Parks and Recreation Committee held the event last Friday through Sunday, as the trees were slowly decorated and lit.

By Sunday, the entire park was illuminated, and the live virtual tour of each tree took place that evening on the “Lehighton Borough Parks and Recreation Board” Facebook page.
