State police at Fern Ridge investigate crashes

State police at Fern Ridge report the following crashes:

• One driver was slightly injured in a two-vehicle crash that was reported at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 29 at the intersection of Route 903 and the Turnpike in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Police said Alyssa M. McCarroll, 32, of Coaldale, was southbound in a 2006 Kia Spectra and failed to stop for a steady red light at the intersection with the turnpike entrance. Justin A. Fell, 19, of Wyoming, Luzerne County, driving a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado truck, had the green light and was making a left turn onto 903 when his vehicle was struck by the Kia.

McCarroll suffered a minor injury but did not require medical attention. Fell was not injured. Both vehicles were towed. McCarroll was cited for traffic control devices.

• A driver was cited after a two-car crash in Monroe County on Aug. 13.

Police said the crash occurred at 5:14 p.m. along Route 715, at the intersection Reeders Run Road, in Jackson Township. Troopers said Sabrina Cassulis, 19, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2011 Chrysler 200 westbound on Reeders Run Road and was making a left-hand turn onto 715 to go north when her vehicle was struck by a 2018 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Isaiah N. Roche, 22, of Easton.

Cassulis and her passenger, Miranda S. Vitulli, 19, of Albrightsville, and Roche, were all not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Cassulis was cited.
