An Albrightsville woman is the victim of a theft by deception case.

State police at Fern Ridge said it happened between 6 p.m. May 28 and 8 a.m. May 29.

Someone opened a PayPal account in the name of the Hiawatha Trail resident.

Police said the thief charged $1,800 worth of items on the card. Police said the victim is not responsible for the charges.
