Beltzville closed Memorial Day weekend through at least June 5

Beach and pool facilities at Beltzville State Park will be closed Memorial Day weekend.

The closure is expected to last through at least June 5, according to a post on Beltzville State Park’s Facebook page.

In the meantime, fencing has been put up on the beach. The park is located in portions of Towamensing and Franklin townships.

The post states that reservable boating facilities and select restroom facilities are open in day use areas.

The Park office will open on May 22, though visitor center exhibit halls will remain closed.

Pavilions will remain closed through at least June 15, and will only reopen when the county is designated green.

All events of 25 or more people and all public educational programs are canceled through June 15. Please call the park office before you visit with questions.

As part of Pennsylvania’s COVID-19 mitigation efforts, playgrounds, nature play areas, and amphitheaters will remain closed.
