LCCC Carbon, Tamaqua host nights to help with financial aid documents

Lehigh Carbon Community College has scheduled its FAFSA completion nights at the campuses in Tamaqua and Jim Thorpe. Current and future applicants for fall 2019 enrollment at LCCC are encouraged to attend a free work session with LCCC Financial Aid staff members who will guide applicants through the FAFSA form completion and submission process.

Attendees are asked to bring the following items: A copy of your 2017 income tax return, Social Security cards for students and/or parents, any untaxed income from 2017 (e.g. payments to tax deferred pensions and savings plans, tax exempt interest and child support received in 2017), and documentation of U.S. permanent resident or other eligible noncitizen.

All students and/or parents are required to create a FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov in order to be able to sign his/her FAFSA electronically. You can apply at any time for the FSA ID. Anyone creating a FSA ID will need their own separate email account.

FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and is a critical component for students applying for financial aid. Nearly all financial aid programs at LCCC require the FAFSA to be completed before financial assistance eligibility can be determined.

Each of the following FAFSA sessions takes place from 3 to 6 p.m. Please arrive before 5:15 p.m. to allow enough time to complete the FAFSA application.
