A story of love and redemption

Instead of an individual book review, members of the adult book club at Penn-Kidder Library Center combined their feelings on a book the group recently read, “The Snow Falcon” by Stuart Harrison.

Barbara Franzosa: This book had me hooked from the first sentence, which was from the perspective of the Gyr Falcon. The complexity of the main characters and their interactions made this a cliff hanger for me from start to finish- I could not put it down.

Phyllis Spencer: Like the falcon, the characters in the book have their own life struggles. After Michael Sommers returns to his childhood home, he affects the lives of the falcon and the people he meets while confronting his past and determining his future.

Carolyne LaFond: “The Snow Falcon” brings to light many aspects of the human condition: the need for strength in trying times, the power to believe in yourself and the peace that is experienced through unconditional love. As the plot unfolds the reader gently becomes aware that they are viewing circumstances through the eyes of The Snow Falcon.
