State police at Fern Ridge said a driver fled the scene after crashing and striking a parked vehicle off Old Stagecoach Road in Chestnuthill Township.

The crash occurred at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 20 when the vehicle was westbound on Old Stagecoach Road and the driver lost control of the vehicle at the intersection with County Park Road. Police said the vehicle struck a ditch and a street sign on the northwest corner of the intersection, knocking the sign into the front yard of 213 Old Stagecoach Road.

It continued westbound through the front yard and struck a parked 2006 Chevrolet truck that was in the driveway, pushing the truck about four feet from where it was parked.

Police said the runaway vehicle backed out onto Old Stagecoach Road and fled eastbound.
