N. Lehigh approves raises

Northern Lehigh School Board on Monday approved a new administrative compensation plan between the school district and the Northern Lehigh Middle Level Management Team.

Afterward, Director Robert Keegan Jr. said it was a "pleasure" to work with the administrators, and added he believes it's a good plan, which will hopefully result in them wanting to stay with the district for a long time.Board President Gary Fedorcha said the agreement is quite the accomplishment, as it means the district will start the new school year with every contract, signed, sealed and delivered. The plan calls for a 3 percent increase based on satisfactory evaluation; updated the language to keep it consistent with the district's other contracts related to its health care, and added an administrative retirement incentive as it relates to medical upon retirement, according to Sherri Molitoris, co-director of business affairs/human resources.Essentially, Molitoris said it's an administrative incentive plan that in the event they decide to leave, the district will do the benefits. After the meeting, interim Superintendent Jack Corby added, "Both sides were able to just meet and discuss and just sit down and come to a plan and an agreement that benefited everyone.""Such a great cause that took place between the board and administration," Corby said. "It was a very positive negotiation back and forth."
