The borough of Lehighton will celebrate Public Power Week during the week of Oct. 3.

As part of that, it will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at its Light & Power and Public Works facilities located on Bridge and East Penn streets.The borough will host the event at its Light & Power buildings and Public Works building to celebrate Public Power Week and the 150th Anniversary.Refreshments and promotional items will be provided.Borough Manager Nicole Beckett said, "In conjunction with Public Power Week, we want our residents and visitors to be able to view our facilities, our equipment and meet the staff."
