The West Penn Township Lions and West Penn Lioness Clubs held their 2016-2017 installation banquet on June 1.

Officers and directors of both clubs were installed by District Governor Elect Larry Williams. The clubs also presented special awards and recognition to deserving members that evening.West Penn Township Lion Rebecca Neumoyer will be the president; Mike Hunsicker, vice president; past District Governor Bob Neumoyer will serve as secretary; and Debra Saunders, treasurer. Lion tamer is Melissa Kistler and tail twister is Leroy Wentzel.One-year directors are Al Martinez and Jack Triano. Two-year directors include Gary Kistler and Rae McAvoy. Lions Membership Team includes; Curtis Bailey, Jim Dean and Rae McAvoy.The West Penn Lioness installed Eileen Meiser as president. Barbara Lushia was named first vice president. Club secretary is Becky Zehner, and treasurer is Marie Gursky. Marie Barth was installed as tail twister.One-year directors are Geraldine Balliet, Jean Swartz and Nancy Meiser and two-year directors include Karissa Brothers, Ann Fedor and Rebecca Neumoyer.West Penn Lions immediate past president, Debra Saunders, was presented a Past President Plaque in honor of the service given to the club while serving as president.Lion Sarah Trumbauer received a desktop plaque in recognition of her dedication to serving as the treasurer for the past six years. Perfect Attendance Awards for 2015-2016 were also presented to 20 Lions.The West Penn Lioness Club will be presenting club awards and recognitions at a later date.New members are welcome in both organizations.
