Policy differences are acceptable, but those differences should not adversely affect the people of Pennsylvania. If a budget is not passed by the constitutional deadline, we should revert to the previous year's budget while negotiations continue. Further, neither legislators nor executive branch leadership should be paid during this time; I believe in this so strongly that I did not cash any paychecks during the impasse.
