Palmerton Area School Board voted tonight to reinstate Mary Brumbach as principal of S.S. Palmer and Parkside Elementary schools.

Brumbach, who was suspended since October, requested a hearing earlier this month.

She was facing termination for filing reports with the district claiming that she oversaw three fire drills at Palmer that did not happen.

Brumbach said throughout the hearing that she did not knowingly falsify documents, or intend to do any harm to the school district.

The board voted tonight 7-0 to reinstate her.
