Several charged with thefts at Walmart

Rush Township police have reported the following incidents at the HT Commons Walmart in Hometown:

• Barry Cox, 56, of Hometown will be cited for retail theft. He reportedly took merchandise valued at $3.48 from the store on Nov. 21.• Thomas Kehl, 25, of Mahanoy City, will be cited for retail theft and receiving stolen property for an incident Nov. 5, involving merchandise valued at $145.84.• Anthony Powell, 45, of McAdoo is facing retail theft charges after police identified him as the person who took merchandise valued at $49.97 from the store on Nov. 12.• Justin Vereen, 21, of Tamaqua, took merchandise valued at $38.88 on Nov. 30.
