A pedestrian was struck in a hit and run crash this evening.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was struck by a car while on the 100 block of South First Street in Lehighton.

He was flown to St. Luke's Hospital trauma center in Bethlehem.

Police were able to stop the vehicle involved in the incident.
