Fourth suspect arrested in Nesquehoning armed robbery

A fourth suspect in an armed robbery in Nesquehoning earlier this month has been arrested.

According to borough Police Chief Sean Smith, he and Officer Timothy Wuttke arrested Tyquan Shakeem Owens, 18, of Lansford Court, Lansford on Jan. 22, in connection with the armed robbery of two girls, ages 12 and 13, on Jan. 17. Three accomplices, Izael Flores, 18, of Willow Lane, Nesquehoning; a 16-year-old male whose name has not been released but is being charged as an adult; and Elijah Frey, 18, of East Railroad Street, Nesquehoning, were arrested and arraigned last week.

Owens is being charged with three counts of criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, three counts of robbery, one count theft by unlawful taking, one count receiving stolen property and one count simple assault.

He was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek. Bail was set at $100,000 unsecured.
