Police and emergency responders are on the scene of a one-car crash in Hometown that injured the driver.

According to those at the scene, the driver of a Kia Sorento appeared to be traveling southbound on Progress Avenue

near TIDE Road when, for reasons unclear, the car veered off the roadway and into a wooded area where it crashed

head-on into a tree.

Tire marks in the snow indicate the path of the vehicle as it left the roadway and entered the woods.

The male driver was injured.

The location of the mishap is inside the Tamaqua Industrial Development Enterprises complex.
