DUI charge for woman with children in car

Mahoning Township Police have charged a woman with driving under the influence of drugs with young children in the car.

On Aug. 19, police stopped a vehicle on Route 209 at a DUI Checkpoint.An odor of marijuana was detected coming from inside the car. At the time of the stop there were two children in the back seat of the vehicle, ages 2 and 5.As a result of the investigation Jordan Grammes, 21, of Albrightsville has been charged with five counts of driving under the influence of controlled substances.A blood test showed the presence of THC (marijuana), morphine and Oxycodone.A passenger in the vehicle, Sean Sweeney, 23, of Jim Thorpe has been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
