LCCC schedules student orientation

New students to Lehigh Carbon Community College will be able to meet with other new students and meet peer mentors in the scheduled new student orientation sessions in preparation for the fall semester at Lehigh Carbon Community College. Fall classes begin as early as Aug. 22.

All first-time freshmen must attend a new student orientation session, which will help them transition to the college environment. All students new to LCCC would also benefit. Orientation sessions are scheduled throughout the summer, beginning June 25. Students can sign up online at

www.lccc.edu/orientation.Students will learn about student life, technology resources, academic policies, student rights and responsibilities as an LCCC student. A separate parent/family orientation will include information about college services, student life, support services and financial aid.When registering for an orientation session, students should complete the course planner portion so they will receive their class schedule for their first semester. Students must also have completed their placement testing. Advisers will be on hand to make any course changes.Course planning forms are for new, first-time college students who recently graduated from high school. If you graduated from high school more than two years ago or have attended another college, contact Academic Advising at 610-799-1137 to schedule an appointment.Students can register for a specific orientation session.
