The Beltzville Lions Club is nearing its goal to raise money for a homeless man.

Jim Logue, who set up the fund to help a homeless man from the Weissport canal area, reports that the club has reached $750.

The goal is $1,000 to help Terry Wentz, who has helped the club to maintain the area near the canal.

Residents of Weissport complained about Wentz at a recent Council meeting.
