Police charge 11 with wrongdoing

Lansford police have charged 11 people with wrongdoing, according to a report received Saturday.

Francine Geusic, 54, 359 W. Water St., Lansford, was charged on Sept. 1 with false alarms to public safety, persistent disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and harassment.An intoxicated Geusic had called 911 to falsely report a man climbing through her window, and then confronted a group of people on the street, according to an affidavit of probable cause.Lawrence Purcell, 32, 113 Lenape Trail, Albrightsville, was charged with possession of a controlled substance on Sept. 4 after police found him in possession of a prescription stimulant not prescribed to him.George McIntosh, 37, 210 W. Coal St., Nesquehoning, was charged on Sept. 12 with terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment after initiating a fight at the Rite Aid drugstore on Bertsch Street.Sheri Keller, 44, 173 W. Ridge St., Lansford, was charged on Sept. 29 with persistent disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.Brenda McGuire, 53, 644 E. Ridge St., Lansford, was charged on Aug. 31 with resisting arrest and persistent disorderly conduct.Kyle Hower, 27, 12 W. Water St., Lansford, was charged on Sept. 16 with tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.He is accused of flushing two bags of heroin down the toilet after police were called to his house when a woman there overdosed. The woman, Sheri Keller, was taken to a local hospital, where she refused treatment.Alexander Jiminez, 24, 533 E. Patterson St., Lansford, was charged on Sept. 9 with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct.John Provisiero, 21, Palmerton, was charged on Oct. 22 with persistent disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after getting into a fight in front of the police station.Christopher Felker, 40, Palmer Township, was charged on Oct. 27 with two counts of driving under the influence.Ernest Miller, 61, 263 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, was charged on Nov. 10 with terroristic threats, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct after threatening to "take a shot, and I will not miss" at any officer who cited him for a vehicle code violation, and then scuffling with police.Peter Mikkelson, 347 W. Abbott St., Lansford, was charged on Oct. 8 with two counts of simple assault and harassment after beating up his girlfriend.
