Schuylkill bench warrants dissolved

Schuylkill County judges have dissolved bench warrants for the following local people after they appeared in court.

Brandon S. Fritz, 32, formerly of Tamaqua, was ordered to prison without bail by Judge James Goodman.Fritz was charged in two cases. The first by state police at Schuylkill Haven, who charged him on Jan. 10 with a felony charge of carrying firearms while prohibited, intent to possess a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, disregarding traffic lanes, failing to use a seat belt, and carrying a loaded weapon. The offenses occurred on Dec. 8, 2013.In the second case, Fritz was charged by Pottsville police on Nov. 25, 2013, with harassment.He has since been arrested on drug charges by police in Saint Clair, Mahanoy City, and by state police at Schuylkill Haven.The bench warrant was issued Sept. 11. Goodman on Oct. 21 had set bail at $25,000, according to online court records.Ashley Blum, 23, Lansford, was charged by Rush Township police on Jan. 26, 2013, with theft of leased property and receiving stolen goods. Judge John Domalakes dissolved her bench warrant and set her bail at $5,000 unsecured. He ordered her to live at 623 Patterson St. in Lansford, and to avoid alcohol and illegal substances, and keep her job.Jacob Kamant, 24, Tamaqua, was charged on Aug. 15, 2013, by Tamaqua police with receiving stolen property, failing to surrender his license, failing to use turn signals, driving an unregistered vehicle and other charges. Goodman reinstated his $1,000 unsecured bail and ordered him to live at 158 Orwigsburg St. in Tamaqua.
