The Slatington Woman's Club has named Devan Pepe as the September Girl of the Month.

Pepe, a senior at Northern Lehigh Area High School, has been a member of the field hockey team all four years of high school and the softball team for three years. She is the current treasurer of student council, is a member of National Honor Society and is a member of the All Pro team.She received the faculty scholarship award in 2010 and 2011 and the Blue Bat award in 2014 for demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and positive attitude during the softball season.Pepe enjoys hiking, skiing and spending time with friends and family.She plans to attend Penn State University to study kinesiology and hopes to pursue a career in the medical field.She is the daughter of Kim and Brian Pepe of Slatington and has a brother, Jason, 14.
