Police seeking suspect in connection with Nesquehoning incident

Nesquehoning Police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect in connection with the suspicious package left on the porch of a borough resident on Saturday.

Police are looking for John Robert Large, 49, of 11 W. Bertsch St., Lansford. He is 6 feet tall, weighs 240 pounds, has brown eyes and brown hair.He drives a red Kia Optima four-door sedan with a rear trunk spoiler.Nesquehoning police are continuing to investigate the incident that occurred early Saturday morning that involved slashed tires and a box with the words "tick tock" that was placed on a porch.Chief Sean Smith said officer Timothy Wuttke was called out to investigate a criminal mischief case. He spoke with the victim, Maureen Osinchak, of 8 Sixth Ave. in the Hauto Estates section of the borough.She showed him that three of the tires on her car had been cut, and the box, with the words "tick tock" written in big, bold letters, was left on the porch.Wuttke secured the scene and called the Allentown Bomb Squad, which detonated the package. There was no bomb inside, Smith said.Following further investigation and interviews, police obtained a search warrant for Large's home and seized several items.Nesquehoning Police Chief Sean Smith asks anyone who sees Large or has information about his whereabouts to call the Nesquehoning Police Department at 570-669-9588 or call 911.
