A Monroe County teen driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 7 a.m. on Wednesday along Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Derek J. Marshall, 17, of Effort, was driving a 1993 Toyota Camry eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle on a small patch of ice. The car slid off the road and onto the berm where it struck a tree.Troopers said Marshall was ejected out the passenger side window. He was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of a moderate injury, troopers added.
