An Amber Alert has been canceled for a 20-month-old boy, Aedan Mauger, taken from a residence in Shillington this afternoon.

The Pennsylvania State Police has issued an Amber Child Abduction Alert for the Shillington Police Department Berks County.

The 20-month-old child, Aedan Michael Mauger, was taken from 1037 Bedford Avenue in Shillington, PA. The child was taken from the residence by the suspect, Jessica Mauger, 24. She is described as white, with red hair and hazel eyes. She is 5 feet 5 inches and weighs 130 pounds.

The suspect, the child's mother, left the residence after leaving a suicide note. She took two bottles of pills and a bottle of rum with her.

She is now in custody.
